    Abstract:

Staphylococcus aureus secretes a variety of toxins in the course of infection, and the toxins damaging the host cell membrane have garnered great attention. Natural medicines are characterized by structural diversity and low toxicity, and thus it has great potential to mine lead compounds from plants, animals, and microorganisms. This paper reviews the properties, structural characteristics, and mechanism of membrane-damaging toxins and summarizes the natural medicines against these toxins, providing a basis for the selection of new drugs and the development of anti-toxin therapies in the future.
