    Abstract:

[Background] In recent years, more and more studies have focused on Rhodococcus, and few researchers have conducted a comprehensive review of the existing literature. [Objective] To investigate the research hotspots, frontiers and future development trends in the field of Rhodococcus in China and abroad. This study provided reference for subsequent research. [Methods] This study aimed to conduct statistical analysis and bibliometric analysis of the papers on Rhodococcus published in Web of Science in the last decade. VOSviewer was used for overlay visualization of the authors and keywords co-occurrence networks of Rhodococcus. [Results] The results showed that the overall number of publications in the field of Rhodococcus worldwide has been increasing year by year, and most of the published journals were specialist journals in microbiology. The number of publications and citations of articles in China and America far exceeds that of other countries, and the research content of Rhodococcus mainly focuses on biocatalyst, biodegradation, and non-ribosomal peptide synthases. [Conclusion] Rhodococcus has been paid more and more attention in the world and has gradually become a research hotspot. Countries and research institutions should continue to strengthen cooperation to promote the continuous development of the field of Rhodococcus.
