    Abstract:

Type VI secretion system (T6SS) that widely exists in Gram-negative bacteria has been extensive studied in recent years. It plays important roles in the virulence, colonization, spread and competition inheritance of bacteria. This paper reviews the latest research progresses in the structure, regulation and biological function of T6SS. Hopefully, the review could inspire the development of antibacterial drugs based on T6SS and provide new thoughts for the diagnosis and control of bacterial infections.
