Numerous natural science courses contain a wealth of aesthetic education resources. In recent years, the teaching team of course Microbiology from Huazhong Agricultural University has incorporated aesthetic education into educational goals, enriched the aesthetic education practice in curriculum teaching, and integrated the appreciation, presentation and creation of beauty into teaching process through visual teaching, practical teaching and heuristic teaching. Practice has shown that the integration of aesthetic education in microbiology teaching not only helps to develop and enhance students’ aesthetic needs, ability and consciousness, but also helps to stimulate students’ interest in learning, enhance professional self-confidence, and cultivate a sound personality.
