Microbiology Experiment is a compulsory course in biology-related majors, which is essential to improve students’ experimental skills and to understand the principles of Microbiology. Therefore, it is the basic task of teachers to continuously explore and improve the experimental teaching methods, reduce the students’ misconduct in their experiments and improve the efficiency of experimental teaching. Counterexample micro-video teaching method is integrated with traditional case study, counterexample teaching method and micro-lectures. This article expounds the principle, the basic operation process, the application effect and the existing problems of counterexample micro-video teaching method. The application of this teaching method can improve the learning efficiency of the experimental class and reduce the number of students’ misconduct in their experiments. Thus it is worth popularizing this teaching method in undergraduate Biology Experiment courses.
