Suggestions on the improvement of teaching contents, teaching mode and teaching methods of the course of fermentation engineering were proposed based on the employment positions. Several examples were presented to elaborate the practices of educational ideas such as learning scenario construction, task-driven learning, productive practical training, etc. Several successful informationized teaching methods, including micro-lectures and simulation software were also introduced.
