    Abstract:

Norovirus is one of the main pathogens causing human nonbacterial gastroenteritis. Due to its high infectivity and variability, norovirus could lead to a serious public health problem, especially in the people with weak resistance. Therefore, it is important to develop rapid and accurate detection technique on preventing and controlling norovirus. This article reviews recent technology application and development trends in the detection of norovirus, such as RT-PCR, loop mediated isothermal amplification, real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR, nested PCR, ELISA, immunochromatography, and gene chip.
