    Abstract:

    Genetic engineering is at the forefront of life sciences; its content is with international cutting-edge nature, and in rapid development and updating. To train students with comprehensive quality who are able to adapt to globalization, bilingual teaching has been conducted for “Genetic Engineering” course in Bioengineering major of College of Life Sciences, Fujian Normal University, since 2006. Based on the practice of bilingual teaching of genetic engineering in the past few years, this paper describes the experience of bilingual teaching, including the choice of teaching content and bilingual teaching materials, teaching methods and modalities of reform, as well as the utilization of network resources, and explores the existing problems and strategies.
