Drought-tolerant microorganisms: changes in research hotspots and mechanisms of improving plant drought tolerance

干旱是严重的非生物胁迫,也是农业减产的重要原因之一。一些对植物生长有促进作用的环境友好型微生物手段亟待发现并应用。因此,本文分析了2003−2023年间中国知网和Web of Science中与耐旱菌有关的1 986篇文献,总结该领域近20年的研究热点和研究进展,探讨耐旱菌的生物多样性及其协助植物抵御干旱胁迫的机制,旨在为分离筛选耐旱菌和创制有效耐旱的菌植组合提供指导意见,为应对全球干旱对农业和食品生产带来的挑战提供新的解决方案。
Abstract:
Drought is a serious abiotic stress dramatically reducing crop yields, which urgently necessitates the development and application of environmentally friendly biological methods capable of promoting plant growth. We retrieved 1 986 articles on drought-tolerant microorganisms from the CNKI and the Web of Science that were published during 2003−2023. By reviewing these articles, we summarized the research hotspots and progress in this field and discussed the biodiversity of drought-tolerant microorganisms and the mechanisms of these microorganisms in protecting plants from drought stress. This review aims to provide guidance for the isolation and screening of drought-tolerant microorganisms and the creation of effective microorganism-plant combinations in response to drought and offers new solutions for the challenges posed by global drought to agriculture and food production.
