Microbial degradation of environmental pollutants is a hot research field in environmental protection. Comamonas are able to degradate most environmental pollutants excellently. This paper reviews the degradation characteristics and metabolic pathway of some isolated Comamonas for different pollutants, and analyzes the influence of various conditions to the Comamonas. At last, the present situation and potential applications of Comamonas for degradation of environmental pollutants are introduced.
