Abstract:Microbial technology serves as a crucial engine driving the development of modern biomanufacturing. To meet the need for cultivating interdisciplinary talents in biomanufacturing, the Resource Biotechnology Interdisciplinary Team at Wuhan Institute of Technology has developed a graduate cultivation model characterized by “one creation, two integrations, three guarantees”. This model consolidates the knowledge foundation by creating an interdisciplinary curriculum centered on Microbiology, enhances the innovation capacity cultivation pathway through deepening the integration of education with research and industry, and builds a sustainable educational ecosystem supported by resources, institutions, and culture. Practice has shown that the model has made progress in aligning talent development with national strategic needs, improving students’ innovative practical abilities, and refining interdisciplinary training mechanisms, providing a referable solution for cultivating graduates in biomanufacturing.
